WagTime Terms & Service Policies

Please read our policies carefully. By booking a service with WagTime, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Health & Safety (All Services)

To ensure the safety of your pets and our staff, the following health standards apply to all Grooming, Walking, and Sitting services:

  • Vaccinations:

    • Dogs: Must have a current C5 Vaccination (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, and Bordetella). Proof of vaccination is required prior to the first service.

    • Cats: Must have a current F3 Vaccination.

  • Flea & Worm Control: All pets must be up-to-date with flea and worming treatments. If fleas are found on your pet during a service, a Clean-Up Fee (approx. $20–$30) may be charged to cover the cost of treating our equipment/vehicle.

  • Desexing:

    • For Group Walks, all dogs over the age of 7 months must be desexed.

    • Intact pets (not desexed) may be accommodated for Solo Walks, Home Visits, or Grooming only.

  • Medical Conditions: Owners must disclose any underlying medical conditions or allergies prior to service.

2. Grooming Specific Policies

  • Matted Coats: We abide by the Animal Welfare Act. We will not inflict pain to de-mat a severely matted coat. If a coat is matted, we will shave the coat short to remove the mats safely. A Matting Surcharge applies due to the extra time and wear on equipment.

  • Behavioral Issues: Owners must inform us if their pet has ever bitten or shown aggression. We reserve the right to stop a groom if a pet becomes unsafe to handle.

  • Accidents: While extreme care is taken, working with sharp instruments on moving animals carries a small risk. In the event of an accidental nick or cut, we will apply first aid and inform you immediately.

3. Medical Emergencies

  • In the event of a medical emergency, we will attempt to contact you and your emergency contact immediately.

  • If we cannot reach you, you authorize WagTime to transport your pet to your nominated vet or the nearest emergency veterinarian.

  • Liability: All veterinary costs incurred are the sole responsibility of the pet owner.

4. Privacy & Media

  • Photos: We may take photos or videos of your pet for use on our social media or website. If you prefer your pet not be photographed, please let us know in writing.

  • Data: Your personal data (address, keys, alarm codes) is stored securely and never shared with third parties.
